Material Selection Guide: Knitted Polyester vs. Nylon

Knitted Polyester The ideal choice for those requiring higher abrasion resistance. Because of its heavier weight and specific knit construction, it is designed to hold up to the elements better than lighter weight alternatives. Note: Due to its robust construction, this flag requires a moderate gust of wind to catch and ripple compared to lightweight nylon flags.

Nylon The preferred choice for light-wind conditions. If your location experiences minimal air movement or you prefer a flag that flies in the slightest breeze, we recommend exploring our Nylon American Flag collection.
