First off the packaging was great, no damage to the pole at all.

Second, the revolving truck at the top of the pole is aluminum and so is the pole. The threads on the truck where not cut to their full depth on roughly 1/3 the circumference. I did not notice this before starting to thread it onto the pole. It turned fine by hand for about 2 1/2 turns so I know I did not cross thread it. When it got tight I thought to myself, hmmmm, lot of thread to go. Not thinking I grabbed a wrench and started to turn. Got about another half turn and that was it. Damage done. Had a heck of a time getting it back off. Took 3 guys holding the pole from spinning. I then spent about 3 hours with a Dremel tool cleaning the damaged threads and cutting them to their full depth inside and out. After that I used Anti-seize lube on the threads and it went on no problem with a sung fit and about 1/4 of the threads still showing. The ball threads tapped into the top of the truck were not cut all the way through either. Aside from that it looks awesome.
