Threads are different than the threads on the truck.
"I bought both the truck and the ball here. I would think the threads on the ball would match the threads on the truck. . . but the don't. Since postage would be more than it is worth to deal with I am left to struggle with finding a fix. . . Urg."

Ball Stem Threads
"The threads on the ball didn't match the threads in the truck. The fit is very loose. Apparently one of the items is metric thread and the other is American standard. With a little adhesive I can manage to make them work."
