This 3' x 5' cotton flag is part of the Heritage Series from Valley Forge. The hand crafted nature and patented antiquing process have become new hallmarks. This product is constructed of carefully chosen American Cotton weaving, meticulously dyed, and accented with solid brass grommets.

    Made in U.S.A.

Please note - With the tea stained dying process, some areas might be darker than others. Each item is not the exact same. Also, actual flag may be lighter or darker than what is pictured. These are mass produced and the sizing maybe a little off from the original size.

The first official American flag, known as "the Betsy Ross flag" is the most debated flag in American history. Adopted June 14, 1777 (later to become Flag Day), Continental Congress resolved, "that the flag of the United States be thirteen stripes, alternate red and white; that the union be thirteen stars, white in a blue field representing a new constellation." Since Congress didn't specify dimensions, proportions or size of the field or canton, an arrangement for the stars or even the shape of the flag, there were many variations in American flags until 1912.

      Beat expectations

This 1776 is everything I hoped for. Tea staining is great. Don't change a thing with the staining process. It is a battle flag. We are in an apartment and I have it secured with two eye bolts and two carabiners. It isn't going anywhere. This helps me remember the 1776 soldier men and yes, boys at that time.

Excellent. Quality material and workmanship. The Heritage version 13 star cotton 3×5 has everything that I needed. "MADE IN THE U.S.A." label is a very strong reason I feel quality is built in to ALL your products. The American flag should NEVER be an imported item!! God Bless America!!

      Much smaller than stated.

Posted by Lee on Jun 20th 2018

Received my Heritage flag today. Although it's stained a little darker than I would like, it's very well made and will make a good 4th of July display. I ordered a 3X5 and the package stated 3X5 however the flag is actually 29" by 59". Considerably smaller than expected.
I will keep the flag because of it's quality to avoid the return hassle.

      Disappointed with this item

Posted by George on Jun 15th 2018

I have never ordered a "distressed" flag before so I was anxious to see how it would look flying for this year's flag day. I may not have understood how "distressed" this item really looks (and NOT in a good way). It probably is my fault for thinking the flag would appear appropriately "old" but would appear as a proper display of "Old Glory". In my opinion it looks so bad as to be inappropriate to display. I hoisted it and after several hours decided to bring it down. You may have a totally different opinion (and I realize my opinion is my own) but please be aware of how it may disappoint.

      Distressed look fades

Only had this flag for 6 months. Distress ed look fades quickly if left out in sun and rain. Looked great for a couple of months bot faded quickly.
