It is a one piece aluminum flagpole with a bottom diameter of 5 inches that has that classic commercial taper up to 3 inches at the top. Wall thickness for this flagpole is 0.125 of an inch and is available in four different finishes with black, bronze and clear anodized and a satin finish. This flagpole has some of the highest rated windspeeds in its class with a flagged windspeed of 120 miles per hour and a massive unflagged windspeed of 255 miles per hour. It features an external halyard and revolving truck and comes with everything else you need including a cast aluminum cleat, flag snaps, flash collar, galvanized steel foundation sleeve and a gold anodized finial ball for the top. You do have the option to add a shoe base to this flagpole, but it should be noted that this will cost more and actually reduce the overall windspeed of this flagpole. The Economy Extra Series 20ft Flagpole comes with a lifetime warranty and is made right here in the United States. In regard to flagpole finish: Satin finish is going to be the standard finish on this flagpole, but it is also available in anodized finishes as well with black, bronze and clear. Satin finishes are going to be a little more prone to discoloration and oxidization to where our anodized flagpoles will not. The process of anodization gives the flagpole an extra layer of protection from the outdoor elements. Both can be taken care of regularly to avoid any unwanted blemishes with special agents and cleaners for the satin poles and simple soap and water solution for the anodized flagpoles.
