The Deluxe IH Series 20ft Flagpole is another strong and durable commercial flagpole that features an internal halyard system. This is made to ensure that you are the only one with access to your flag and flagpole to prevent it from being tampered with. Containing an inside-mounted winch that is operated via a removable crank handle that moves the stainless steel cable through the inside of the flagpole where it passes over the truck sheave to the outside. A retainer ring and a counterweight which is coated with neoprene work to provide a sliding anchor and are attached to this. This will allow your halyard to be lowered for fastening or removing the flag. It can then be raised, keeping it up and out of reach from any potential vandals. 

Now, for the flagpole specifications and included accessories on the Deluxe IH Series 20ft Flagpole. This is an aluminum ground set flagpole with a bottom diameter of 5 inches tapered to a top diameter of 3 inches. It has 0.188 of an inch wall thickness and comes with a lifetime warranty. The flagpole has a cast aluminum revolving truck that will move with the wind and comes with stainless steel swivel flag snaps. It also comes with a galvanized steel foundation sleeve for a sturdy installation. You get your choice from four different finishes including satin and anodized black, bronze, and clear. You do get the option of adding a shoe base, but it should be noted that this must be installed when the cement is with anchor bolts and will lower the overall windspeed rating of the flagpole. The Deluxe IH Series 20ft Flagpole will stand a beautiful 20 feet in the air once installed and is made right here in the U.S.A. by our very own Super Tough. This particular flagpole would serve well on any residential or commercial property, especially if the customer is concerned about their flag getting any unwanted and undesired attention. 

The Deluxe IH Series 20ft Flagpole has a flagged windspeed rating of 120 miles per hour and an unflagged windspeed of 315 miles per hour.

Please Note: This particular flagpole may require expert or professional assistance in installation. This flagpole must be mounted in the ground with cement and ships with a galvanized steel foundation sleeve.

The default finish on this flagpole is a satin finish, however, anodized finishes of black, bronze, and clear are available for an additional charge. It should be noted that satin finish flagpoles will oxidize over time and require special cleaning agents to restore and bring them back to their optimal shine. Anodized finishes offer a protective layer on the flagpole and as such will prevent it from oxidizing. These can be cleaned with simple soap and water.

Another Option for an Internal Halyard Residential Flagpole Made in the USA

For a flagpole similar to this one that has an internal halyard system, the Vanguard Series 20ft Flagpole offers just that for around two-thirds of the price. The flagpole is a one-piece with a classic commercial taper. It has a halyard that is accessed via a lockable door and comes with everything else you need, including a topper, flag snaps, wire rope assembly, counterweight and beaded retainer ring, an internal halyard door, and frame with cam cleat as well as a galvanized steel foundation sleeve. This is a storm rated flagpole and is able to handle 120 miles per hour winds with a flag and up to 250 miles per hour unflagged. The Vanguard Series 20ft Flagpole comes in with a little less windspeed and overall wall thickness than the Deluxe IH Series 20ft Flagpole, but it is a sensible solution at a great price for the customer who wants to keep their flag safe.

Commercial flagpoles vary in height with the shortest coming in at 20 feet and some of the tallest around 130 feet. 

What are commercial flagpoles made of?

Commercial flagpoles are made primarily with what is known simply as commercial grade aluminum and other alloys. These are in general thicker and more sturdy than that of residential-grade aluminum.

What is the legal height of a flagpole?

The legal height of a flagpole is going to be dependent on where the flagpole is located. Different cities, towns, and communities all have their own set of laws and regulations in regard to flagpole specifications including height. To find out what a legal flagpole height in your area is, be sure to contact your local government office to see what rules and ordinances may be in effect. 

How to install a commercial flagpole?

While installing a commercial flagpole may require you to seek out expert or professional assistance, there are still some things you can do on your own prior. You will first want to scout a future location for your flagpole. This should be in an area that will be easily seen and not obstructed by anything around it. The main thing to look out for here is going to be trees, power lines, buildings, and any other structures that could potentially interfere with your flagpole. You not only will want to keep an eye on the air and what is just above ground, but you will also want to be aware of what is underground in this location. It is always best to know if there is anything in the area where you want to install your flagpole.
