Christian Flags
At The United States Flag Store, we welcome all denominations of faith and religion, offering understanding, tolerance and compassion. We know people are different and all have their own belief system, tailored to fit their identity, life, world and worldview.
The Christian flag is a universal flag that transcends geographical boundaries with the specific intention to unite and incorporate all facets of Christianity and all the people that make up these different denominations. You will more than likely see this flag all around the world flying in front of homes, missionaries and churches.
The United States Flag Store is the number one place for flags of all kinds and that includes Christian flags.
What does the Christian flag look like?
The Christian flag is a white flag with a blue canton in the upper left corner and a red cross in the center of that.
The flag is commonly displayed in churches and homes and can be used for special occasions such as religious festivals and holidays.
Buy Christian Flags Made in the USA, Indoor and Outdoor
One of our most popular Christian flags we have available is the Christian 3ft x 5ft Nylon Flag. It is made of a durable heavyweight nylon to ensure your flag will be able to handle whatever weather gets thrown at it and keep waving proud, rain or shine. This flag also has a strong canvas heading for extra durability and brass grommets to make installation a breeze. And while it is made of a heavyweight nylon, this flag won't require too much wind to see it fly. This comes to us from our friends in Valley Forge, looks great indoors and outdoors and is made right here in the United States. Other flags in this series include the Christian 5ft x 8ft Nylon Flag and the Christian 2ft x 3ft Nylon Flag.
Other Christian Flags
OurChristian Flag 3ft by 5ft Super Knit Polyester is another one of our best sellers. Made with our very own Super Knit technology, this polyester flag is set to last 4 times longer than your average polyester flag. This is a heavier material than nylon and would do well if you plan on flying your flag 24/7. This also features a strong canvas header and brass grommets. This comes from our own brand, Super Tough and is an import.
The United States Flag Store also sells the Christian flag design in a 4 x 6-inch stick flag size. These are excellent for use at parades or religious events. They even make a great addition to your desk at home or in the office. These flags can also be a fun and helpful educational tool in history and social studies classes.
We also carry car and motorcycle Christian flags to take with you while you drive across town.

What is the official Christian flag? Pledge to the Christian flag
The official Christian flag is what you primarily see on this page, it is a white flag with a blue canton and red cross.
There are a couple different pledges to the Chirstian flag depending on who you ask, who they are and where they attend. One of the first pledges to this official Christian flag was written by Methodist Pastor Lynn Harold Hough. He wrote:
"I pledge allegiance to the Christian flag, and to the Saviour for whose kingdom it stands; one brotherhood, uniting all mankind in service and in love."
Who designed the Christian flag? History, Background and Meaning
The original design of the Christian flag actually comes to us from a Sunday school session in the east coast of the United States in the late 1800's, Brighton Chapel on Coney Island in Brooklyn, New York. A scheduled speaker had failed to show up to the class that day forcing Superintendent of the school, Charles C. Overton to lead the lecture. During his speech, he had asked the question of what a Christian flag might look like as his eyes caught gaze on an American flag in the classroom. The idea was proposed that Christians should have their own flag. This idea would stick with Overton for years to come. The Christian flag would finally see the light of day and its design finally come to fruition in 1907 with the help of Ralph Diffendorfer, secretary of the Methodist Young People's Missionary Movement,
The meaning behind the Christian flag goes as such, the white is for purity and peace, the blue square to stand for the waters of baptism and kingdom of Heaven, while the red cross is representative of the blood and sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
Can you fly the Christian flag above the American flag?
When displaying religious flags along with the American Flag, on American soil, U.S. state or territory, embassies or ships, the American Flag will take precedence, except on very rare and certain special occasions. For example, when a church is in session or during services a Christian flag may be flown over the United States flag, but only during this time. You may also see a Christian flag above an American flag on United States naval ships at sea who are conducting their own church services.
